Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what you send us through the offer request form, use it to research your interest and contact you about it, and don't sell it to anyone.
Who we are

What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email, phone, the county and state of the interest, and whatever you tell us about it: the kind of interest, the operator, acreage or decimal, and the legal description.
- What the worksheets use. The NRA worksheet and the present-value scenario run in your browser. What you type into them isn't sent to us unless you put it in the offer request form.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, browser, page requested, time) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To look up the interest in county records and with the operator.
- To contact you about it, including with an offer if we make one.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
We don't sell it
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information to data brokers, advertisers or lead buyers.
Who processes it for us
The site is hosted on Google Firebase. Form submissions are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in a lead database that other sites may also use. Our Landmen LLC reads the requests stored there. Google encrypts the stored data in transit and at rest.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Its fonts are served from mineral.land itself. The only request your browser makes to another service is the one that sends the form, when you send it.
Your rights
Depending on your state (the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws), you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, send you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@mineral.land with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We answer within the time the applicable law allows, at no charge.
How long we keep it
For as long as we're talking with you about the interest, then as long as accounting and record-keeping rules require.
